The department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering was established in the year 1995. It offers 4 year B.Tech. Under-Graduate Programme in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, 2 year M.Tech Post-Graduate Programme in Electronic Instrumentation, 2 year M.Tech Post-Graduate Programme Embedded Systems and Ph.D programme in collaboration with the department of ECE. The under graduate programme offers students with solid theoretical & practical exposure to operation and design of electronic instruments, digital logic systems, and computer based automatic process control. Advanced courses like Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, Advanced Sensors, Virtual Instrumentation, Fiber Optic Instrumentation, are being offered as electives. With a perfect blend of industrial exposure, coupled with good technical base, our students have made their presence felt in various technological domains in all the top-level industries. The department had completed two Major research projects, “DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR MAGNETIC   RESONANCE   IMAGING “ and “DESIGN OF GOOD SEQUENCES FOR RANGE RESOLUTION RADAR “ under UGC research funding and one ongoing research project “DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A MICRO CANTILEVER-STRUCTURED SENSOR FOR DETERMINING THE VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS“ under SERB-DST. The department offered consultancy to HPCL and DRDO labs like NSTL & VRDE. Well qualified, experienced and committed faculty is the strength of the department.
